Custom LSR Injection-Molded Gaskets and Seals
Review the seal together with its groove, closure and intended exposure.
Request custom LSR-molded sealing components with defined profiles, corners and locating features. Send the mating hardware and closure requirements so the material and tooling proposal addresses the actual seal interface.

Product details
Perimeter, bead and locating-feature details
Explore molded seal configurations with closer views of corners, retention tabs and mating grooves.

Perimeter seal
Define the continuous sealing path and the features used to retain it.

Corner profile
Local transitions must remain compatible with the mating groove and closure.

Locating features
Separate seal retention from the compression requirement.

Groove relationship
Review the groove, seal and closure as one tolerance relationship.

Section detail
Specify the section and permitted witness zones from the actual drawing.
Illustrative configurations. Final specifications follow your approved drawings.
Application fit
Molded silicone components for defined sealing interfaces
Custom molding is considered when the required profile, corners or locating geometry justify a dedicated tool.

Enclosure perimeter seals
Continuous molded profiles matched to customer-defined grooves and closure arrangements.
Circular and shaped gaskets
Custom sections for controlled mating hardware, with specified locating and sealing zones.
Retained seal components
Gaskets with tabs, lugs or other locating features that support a defined assembly process.
Quote-ready inputs
What to send for a meaningful quotation
Use the same drawing and requirements for every proposal. Mark open decisions explicitly so that a low price does not conceal a different deliverable.
| Area | Please provide | Review before release |
|---|---|---|
| Mating joint | Groove, lid, housing, stops, fasteners and closure sequence. | Define the compressed state and tolerance relationships. |
| Material | Exact silicone candidate, hardness and required documents. | Review exposure, compression behavior and processing requirements. |
| Function | Fluid or environmental exposure and the required sealing evaluation. | Specify assembly test ownership and criteria; do not infer an IP rating. |
| Surface zones | Sealing lands, parting line and permitted flash locations. | Agree trimming, witness and visual acceptance requirements. |
| Inspection | Specimen condition, flexible-part support and functional checks. | Separate component measurements from complete-joint qualification. |
| Supply | Drawing revision, sample demand, repeat quantity and packing. | Confirm tooling, any post-processing and approval deliverables. |
From drawing to approval
From joint definition to identified seal samples

Describe the joint
Align seal, groove and closure revisions and define the operating exposure.
Review LSR and tooling
Discuss exact-grade requirements, profile, parting and permitted flash zones.
Evaluate component samples
Inspect the agreed dimensions and surface conditions without excessive deformation.
Validate the assembly
Use the controlled closure and agreed joint tests before assigning performance claims.

Six decisions to make before production
- Flat Gaskets vs Molded Silicone Seals: Choosing the FormCompare a flat gasket with a three-dimensional molded silicone seal using the interface, locating features, closure load and production scope.
- Silicone Gasket Hardness Is Not the Closing ForceUnderstand why Shore A alone cannot define silicone gasket closing force, and review profile, confinement, closure stops and assembly evidence.
- Silicone Seal Compression Set: Read the Test ConditionsInterpret silicone compression-set data with the grade, curing state, specimen, exposure and recovery conditions before applying it to a molded seal.
- Silicone Gasket Grooves: Compression and Tolerance ReviewReview the seal section, groove, closure stops and housing variation together before specifying compression for a custom silicone gasket.
- LSR Seal Flash and Parting Lines: Define Acceptance ZonesSpecify LSR seal flash, gate witnesses and parting-line acceptance by sealing zone, inspection method, handling state and finished-assembly function.
- Custom LSR Gasket RFQ: What to Send for a Useful QuotePrepare an LSR molded-seal RFQ with mating geometry, exact material needs, sealing conditions, quantities and a clear sample-approval package.
Before you request a quote
Does a harder gasket always seal better?
No. Section geometry, closure force, groove, material and exposure must be reviewed together. Hardness alone does not specify joint performance.
Do these examples have an IP rating?
No. An ingress claim requires the applicable evaluation of the actual assembled product. These images are design illustrations.
Can the seal include locating tabs?
They can be considered during DFM, with moldability and their effect on assembly and sealing reviewed against the controlled drawing.
What should the RFQ include?
Send seal and mating-part drawings, material and exposure requirements, closure details, quantities and the component and assembly checks needed.
Your next step
Discuss the part with its intended function.
Bring the gasket and its mating joint to the same review. We can discuss an LSR molding proposal with clear component and assembly acceptance boundaries.
